Don't under estimate CMHC website
Almost everyone has heard...CMHC in any kind of real estate talk or when buying a home. CMHC is a Mortgage Insurance Company....mainly to cover the banks' butt while lending for 'high ratio mortages, ex. when the buyer can only afford to put 5% down, anything less than 25%. However on their website there is a wealth of information for the consumer regarding buying that first home, buyer beware facts and the proper procedures to buy a home, OR selling a home etc. Almost anything that has to do with Home Ownership.
